The Root Planing
Root Planing procedure is done with curettes that make the root surfaces of teeth smooth encouraging gum tissue to firmly reattach to roots. This cleansing prevents tooth loss and sensitivity problems. It becomes difficult for the plaque to accumulate along the root surfaces after this procedure. The procedure goes deeper needs numbing your mouth.

• No hot and spicy foods, just soft and healthy diet like yogurt or soups.
• Medicated rinse can be used to reduce oral bacteria.
• Gentle brushing and flossing of teeth after each meal.
• If no medical history exists, Penicillin may be used against infection.
